Gladstone Industry Leadership Group

A Manuka Projects consultant established the Gladstone Industry Leadership Group as the peak body for heavy industries in Gladstone. This group rebuilt the social licence to operate following significant community concerns. The consultant implemented a program to improve environmental reporting and health services. The program also attracted and retained employees, and integrated safety and training initiatives.

Defence Simulation Support Panel

Modelling and simulation is growing in importance in many fields of endeavour. In 2015-16 we supported two government activities with project management and training delivery as part of the Defence Simulation Support Panel (DSSP). 

As an established member of DSSP we can easily and directly assist all government agencies and departments with project management, integrated logistic support, business analysis and training delivery.

Department of Immigration and Border Protection

In 2016, three of our consultants supported the CTO Group and the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) with three quick studies into business and ICT processes. DIBP is consolidating its important business following a merger in 2015.

The reviews covered a broad spectrum of expertise including IT infrastructure, outsourcing, network functions and services, support and governance with a strong focus on services costing. A comprehensive current state assessment was performed and recommendations were made covering governance, people, process and technology.

In 2014-15, we supported QinetiQ Australia and the Department of Defence with project management, safety case and logistic support for one of the key operational applications.

Jabiru Aerodrome Upgrade

Jabiru Aerodrome Upgrade

One of our consultants in WA undertook gap analysis, business case, feasibility study and scoping study to upgrade the Jabiru aerodrome over several years. He managed the works and services required for the aerodrome to become a certified (Class 2) runway suitable for to take aircraft with up to 37 passengers. This involved extensive liaison with the users and owners of the aerodrome as well as the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. He developed the scope, specifications and design of the upgrade as well as managed the tendering process. Works were managed by the aerodrome owner; Rio Tinto/Energy Resources of Australia.
